Saint James Anguilla welcomed its first medical students in January 2010 and student numbers are expanding rapidly. Now that the new Caribbean school is up and working hard, we’d like to celebrate its successful launch. So on the 12th of August we’ll be officially cutting the ribbon on our Anguilla school.
His Excellency, the Governor of Anguilla, Alistair Harrison, will join Dr Guha, the CEO of Saint James School of Medicine at 3:00 pm on Friday to officially cut the ribbon and review some of the highlights of our first year in the new school.
Although the school is only just over a year old, there is much to applaud already, with the first batch of students from Saint James Anguilla having already graduated from their Basic Sciences and gone onto clinical rotations in the United States, and with student numbers in Anguilla growing so fast that the School is already expanding its Anguillan school.
The celebration will be attended by island officials, local dignitaries, faculty and staff. After the ceremony we will be enjoying local food and music in the spacious School grounds and we would like to invite all current students of the School to attend. We look forward to raising a glass to the ongoing success of Saint James School of Medicine in Anguilla and most importantly, to the success and future achievements of all the students that study medicine with us.
