The faculty and advisors at Saint James School of Medicine continuously look for new an inventive ways to approach their respective medical disciplines, in order to provide students with a more comprehensive and impactful education with present-day relevance. At last year’s TEDxWaterloo, cognitive neuroscientist Jessica Grahn gave a great lecture on how something people enjoy every day–music–can have short-term and long-term impacts on brain functioning and health. Many of her points are reflected in our Neuroscience and Medical Psychology courses!
