"Running a lab is almost like running your own business."
Dr. Milica Radisic is a professor at the University of Toronto's Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering. Her vision is a cure for heart disease in our lifetime, and it seems appropriate to highlight her excellent work as a part of American Heart Month this February. Supervising the PhD students helps them develop their own findings in cardiovascular research. Moreover, a combination of computer, stem cell, microscopic and other laboratory technologies make for a challenging, yet interesting daily approach to one's work.
