Medical technology has allowed doctors to work more efficiently and precisely in the office and on the surgery table. Due to the increased risk of contaminations during invasive procedures, some of these advanced medical devices allow doctors to view images and live feeds by using gesture control. This permits medical practitioners to do their work without having to actually touch the tools or patients, keeping the operating room more sterile and safe for all parties. With gesture technology, doctors are able to use hand movements to see images in 3D, zoom in or out and even rotate in order to get a closer look at the patient’s images for surgery. Check out this short video by the Renato Archer Center for Information Technology - CTI and get a look at how this innovative interface is revolutionizing treatment around the world.
