The Role of Design in Biology and Tech

Nature and design seem like complete opposites, but they might be more similar than we think. Neri Oxman is an architect and designer who works to unite two world views of moving away from assembly and closer into growth. Osman imagines and creates structures that are inspired, engineered and informed by nature. Throughout her TEDTalk, Oxman discusses how if design is on its final frontier then it must breathe life into the materials and buildings that are already around us. By doing this, one must look through Oxman's two world views of moving away from assembly and closer into growth.
