Residency Application Time is Here!

Residency slots around the United States are typically filled through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), also known as the Match. All graduates and fourth year students who have completed at least 60 weeks of rotations (including AICM) before July 1, 2016 can apply. This recommendation is to ensure students will be able to complete the remaining rotations, Step 2 exams and their graduation paper before May 1, 2017. The school will email students who are eligible with specific instructions and deadlines for the year. Students will receive the MSPE Request Form which must be filled out and sent back to the school via email, together with other requested documents. Applicants can now register with MyERAS (Electronic Residency Application Services) to begin working on their application for the 2017 Match. Among other documents, students are required to submit USMLE scores, at least three recommendation letters from professors/preceptors and personal statements with their application, which should be completed by September 15. The school will submit an official transcript and Medical Student Performance Evaluation directly to ERAS. Please note that once the MSPE and transcripts are completed and submitted, there are no changes or corrections possible until the next year’s application, if required.
