Introducing SJSM Student Concierge Services
About Sjsm Concierge Services
Saint James School of Medicine continues to raise the bar in education and the overall quality of services offered to its students. As such, SJSM introduced the role of Student Concierge. On each of our campuses, the Student Concierge team will assist students who are joining the school for the first time with their transition and acclimation to the island life. This service is available to every SJSM student, and there are no additional costs to utilize the service.
Personal Services
Students coming to the island for the first time can expect to be welcomed by the Student Concierge representative of their respective island at the port of entry (an appointment is required to be set up in advance). Our friendly staff member will then take you to your place of stay or give you a tour of the campus. We aim to ensure that your first visit to the island is pleasant and that your transition to your new Caribbean life as a medical student goes well.

Student Housing
One of the most challenging aspects of moving to the island for medical studies is securing housing. Students often want to have the housing secured before they reach the island. Now, with our Concierge service, SJSM will help you make the process as simple as possible. Our staff will work with the local landlords to gather information, inspect and put together a list of the best housing options for our students.
You can expect our staff to:
- Update the list of available properties regularly.
- Provide photos/videos or conduct virtual walkthroughs
- Give you input regarding the areas, distance from the campus, and other housing amenities.
Immigration
Part of the process of moving to the island is obtaining the necessary documents for immigration. In conjunction with the school’s Admission Department, the Concierge team will assist students with the following:
- Document preparation
- Document submission
- Appointments with the appropriate government agencies.
Fun Activities
Medical studies can be grueling, and one way to be able to be successful is to sometimes relax and unwind. Both Anguilla and St. Vincent have a lot of tourists and visitors. As such, while on the island, students can also explore the beauties of these Caribbean paradises. SJSM’s Concierge team will guide students with the best options for:
- Golfing
- Snorkeling and Scuba Excursions
- Day Sailing & Powerboat excursions to nearby islands
- Fishing Trips
- Water Sports (surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, and more)
- Island Tours - sightseeing
- Glass Bottom Boat / Helicopter tours
Our Concierge Team
Mrs. Olivia Maloney
St. Vincent Campus
Mrs. Maloney is a St. Vincent native with several years of experience working with students in higher education in roles relating to student assistance. Prior to that, Mrs. Maloney worked for airline agencies and is well-versed in customer service.
