Americare Technical School thrives in bringing together students of many types of cultural backgrounds to study the field of nursing.
Our program prepares students in all areas of general education courses to multiple types of nursing practices. We welcome students as young as high school graduates to join the nursing field. Our goal is to bring in students of all ages who are passionate in helping people and improving the world of Healthcare.
When entering the program a student will complete prerequisite courses before beginning nursing courses. The prerequisite courses will prepare the students for the work load in the Practical Nursing program. Those courses include; Medical Terminology, Nutrition for Nursing Math for Healthcare Professionals, Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Computers, and Introduction to Health Science. Our program is accelerated which means a student will complete the whole program within 21 months.
