Effects of Oxidative stress on Multiple Sclerosis: A Narrative Review

Multiple sclerosis is a complex autoimmune disease of the central nervous system.
While the exact cause remains elusive, a growing body of evidence points to oxidative stress as a big part of the MS puzzle, maybe a key contributor to disease progression.
SJSM students explored how the imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants leads to demyelination, inflammation, and neurodegeneration. Understanding the mechanisms underlying this process may shed some light on potential therapeutic targets for MS.
