Our UNITED STATES CLINICAL EXPERIENCE (USCE) program is specially designed for foreign medical graduates and physicians seeking to enhance their medical knowledge, gain US clinical experience, and prepare for the US Residency Match.

Eligibility and Application
Process

Our UNITED STATES CLINICAL EXPERIENCE (USCE) program is open to foreign medical graduates and physicians who possess a medical degree from a recognized institution. Applicants are required to submit a full application, academic transcripts, proof of medical degree, a CV, and a statement of purpose. Additional documents may be required at a later time. Program Length and Fees

SJSM offers one of the most affordable and high-quality clinical experiences in the United States.
We currently offer 8, 16, and 32-week programs. Participants in the program can choose any of the three program length options. Regardless of the program length, participants will receive access to all residency match resources as indicated above.
The cost of our program is $6,250 for every 8 weeks. This cost does not include Liability Insurance and the one-time enrollment fee of $2,500.

FAQ

In which states/hospitals will I rotate?

Saint James School of Medicine has three primary locations where the rotations can be completed:

  • Raleigh General Hospital and Appalachian Regional Hospital at Beckley, WV,
  • UChicago Medicine AdventHealth (La Grange, Hinsdale, Glendale Heights, and Bolingbrook, IL),
  • South Texas Health System in McAllen, TX.

How long is the program?

Each rotation is 4-weeks long and you can schedule to have a maximum of 4 rotations (total of 16 weeks).

Will you assist me in obtaining a visa for the United States?

Yes, Saint James School of Medicine will provide you will all supporting documentation that you can use to submit during the visa application process in your country. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that you will be able to obtain the visa, and if you are unable to do so, any fees paid to us will be refunded.

Will I get a diploma at the completion of the USCE courses?

At the completion of your coursework, you will receive a certificate from Saint James School of Medicine outlining the coursework completed.
