Article request or for research help
Use this form to request journal articles or research assistance from the SJSM Library team.
The Library team typically responds to article and research requests within a few business days, so be sure to send your request as early as possible if you're working toward a deadline. If your request involves multiple articles or a more extensive literature search, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Before submitting a request, it can help to have your article's full citation on hand, including the journal name, volume, issue, and page numbers, since this speeds up the search process significantly. If you're working on a larger project, such as a systematic review or thesis, consider reaching out early, as these requests often involve multiple articles and benefit from more lead time than a single citation check.
Please send an email to: sjsm-library@mail.sjsm.org
include the following:
Journal citations or links to articles needed. For each article requested, you must provide a screen shot of the page where it is asking you for payment.
Your request must be sent from a school email, requests from personal emails will be ignored.
Copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code)
This Library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order or article request if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
When obtaining copyrighted works from other libraries through interlibrary loan, the library must comply with the conditions defined in subsection g(2) of the Copyright law. The basic requirement is that the library must not receive copies in “such aggregate quantities as to substitute for a subscription to or purchase of such work.”
